Southeastern Michigan Pickleball Association Page – SMPA: This is SMPA’s facebook page! This page is actually run by SMPA’s governance, and we strongly prefer you refer to that facebook page rather than any other facebook page and to this website for all info about SMPA pickleball events – thanks!
Royal Oak Pickleball Club: This was SMPA’s facebook page under its former name – The Royal Oak Pickleball Club. Unfortunately, pickleball player Stephanie Dabbs, who agreed to run this page for SMPA, has taken it over for herself and will not give SMPA access to it 🙁 In addition, Ms. Dabbs has also co-opted our business name for one of her personal facebook pages where she has chosen to attack SMPA, its board members, and even the city of Royal Oak. SMPA does not condone any of the false, unethical, and even illegal statements that have been and continue being made on Ms. Dabbs’ facebook pages. 🙁

The National Council of NonProfits: This organization produces and curates tools, resources, and samples for nonprofits. Beginning under former president Heather Siersma and continuing under current president Frank Fedel, SMPA has been working to bring its practices into alignment with non-profit and 501(c)(3) standards like these which unfortunately were not often adhered to by former SMPA governing bodies.
MPN: The Michigan Pickleball Newsletter is a good publication about pickleball happenings in the state which has been being edited by Pam Mackowski since 2009! It’s focused on SE Michigan, but notes things elsewhere as well. It comes out about monthly, and the 8/22 issue is available here: https://conta.cc/3OWAA2Y.
